GADANSU Pays Courtesy Visit to Tema Traditional Council; Introduces VTP Coordinator for Tema Metropolis

The GaDangme National Students Union (GADANSU) has paid a courtesy visit to the Tema Traditional Council as part of its continuous stakeholder engagement efforts to promote education and uphold GaDangme identity.

The visit aimed to officially introduce the Union and brief the Council on the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Programme (VTP) GADANSU’s flagship initiative designed to address the shortage of Ga and Dangme language teachers in basic schools across the Greater Accra Region.

During the engagement, the GADANSU President, Nii Adjei Tawiah Isaac, introduced the Volunteer Teachers Programme Coordinator for the Tema Metropolis, who will serve as the liaison between the Traditional Council, the Ghana Education Service, and the Union in coordinating volunteer activities within the area.

The delegation also included the Tema Metro Language Coordinator of the Ghana Education Service and the GADANSU Culture Coordinator.

The Tema Traditional Council commended GADANSU for its dedication to advancing education and safeguarding the cultural heritage of the GaDangme people. The Council further assured the Union of its support towards the successful rollout of the Volunteer Teachers Programme.

The courtesy visit forms part of GADANSU’s broader mission to strengthen collaboration with traditional authorities, community leaders, and education stakeholders.
