GADANSU Leadership Pays Courtesy Call on Oboade Notse King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III

As President of the GaDangme National Students Union (GADANSU), I led a delegation made up of various District Coordinators of the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Program to pay a courtesy visit to Oboade Notse King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III, President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs and President of the Nungua Traditional Council.

The visit was part of our broader engagement with traditional authorities to strengthen support for education, youth development, and cultural advancement within the GaDangme State.

Our main objective was to officially introduce and brief him on the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Program, which we are implementing in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service (Greater Accra Region). During the meeting, we highlighted key goals of the program, including:

✅Deploying volunteer. teachers to underserved schools within GaDangme communities,

✅Enhancing literacy, mentorship, and academic continuity,

✅Promoting youth-led development and community service,

✅Strengthening partnerships between traditional leadership and educational stakeholders.

Oboade Notse King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III commended the delegation for championing education and affirmed the importance of traditional backing for youth-led initiatives. He encouraged the coordinators to remain committed and assured us of his support in advancing the program across the region.

Celebrating His Birthday

The visit also coincided with his birthday. In recognition of his leadership, wisdom, and cultural stewardship, we presented him with a symbolic artefact on behalf of GADANSU. The gesture was warmly received and added a memorable touch to the engagement.

This visit reinforced the bond between GaDangme youth leadership and traditional authority, paving the way for stronger collaboration in education, cultural preservation, and community development.
