Engagement with Ada West Education Directorate on the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Program
On Monday, 15th September, 2025, The GADANSU President had a privilege of leading a delegation to engage with the Ada West Education Directorate alongside members of the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Program Committee.
The meeting focused on the upcoming implementation of the program, where we outlined the key arrangements and explored how the Directorate can play a vital role in ensuring its success.
The Director shared some pressing challenges within their jurisdiction, particularly regarding learning outcomes and the conduct of some trainees in their roles as teachers. Both parties discussed practical ways to address these concerns collaboratively to improve teaching and learning in the district.
On behalf of GADANSU, we assured the Directorate of the Union’s commitment to ensuring that all Volunteer Teachers under the program demonstrate professionalism and good conduct in their service.
This engagement marks an important step toward strengthening our partnership with the Education Directorate and ensuring the success of the GaDangme Volunteer Teachers Program in Ada West.
